It's a good idea to change the password of your router from time to time it so that personal information from your computer is safer . every router works a little different , there are so many brands and models that would be impossible to cover the complexities of each one . Fortunately most of the steps are essentially the same for the vast majority of browsers , even if the design and configuration varies slightly.   Below are the general steps to follow in order to change and / or reset password . their wireless router

router default password,
If you have completely lost the password that you configured and you need to set the router back to its factory default password, perform the following steps: The following general instructions are presented. addresses vary by brand and model of router , please refer to the instruction manual of the router before any reset procedure and always follow the safety precautions listed in the documentation for your router. NOTE: The first step in this process will erase all settings router configuration and reconfigure their factory defaults. You have to change the entire configuration of routers as the SSID of the wireless network, password, encryption settings etc, after this step.

1. hold down the reset button on the back of your wireless router.

You will probably have to hold down the reset button for 10-30 seconds depending on the brand of your router. Holding for too short a time will simply reset the router but not returns to its default factory settings. On some routers you may need to use a pin or pin to press the button if it is hidden inside the router.

2. Connecting a computer to one of the Ethernet ports on the router.

The Most routers have a page administrator accessible web browser in order to access the router configuration settings. Some routers disable management via Wi-Fi , so you have to make sure you are connected to the router via an Ethernet cable before trying to access the router configuration page.

3. In the browser address bar type the IP address of the management interface of the router.

Most routers have what is called an internal IP address not routable like 192.168.1.1 or 10.0.0.1. This is an internal address that is not accessible from the Internet. These are the addresses of the standard management interfaces used by some of the most popular wireless router. You may need to consult . the specific router to the correct address manually The following is a list of IP addresses by default based on my research and may not be accurate for your specific make and model:
